Because of the nearness to Bonn (10 km), former federal capital, to Cologne (30 km) and to the county seat of the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis, Siegburg (4 km), interesting and diversified leisure- and entertainment facilities are offered. These cities are easily reachable from Sankt Augustin due to good transport connections, by car as well as by train. The bordering Siebengebirge offers numerous tourist attractions, too.
